“the wailing”

Hey everybody;

Hope all is well… great to be back in the studio…. Our trip to europe was energizing, ……we had an incredible time and saw some amazing sights… It was great breathing in the rich history of Bavaria and Berlin.  On a our trip to Berlin we saw some amazing sites and it was a great to see the oldest of the old architecture and the newest of the newest ultra modern buildings and hotels.  Berlin is a city rich in history and in the middle of an huge modern transformation.  Yet history is everywhere … while we were in Berlin I was mesmerized by this statue in the middle of the street, I couldn’t stop staring at it.. and it be came the inspiration to my latest piece, “the wailing”    ….. this is 48 x 36, mixed media, oil, collage, original photographs….. Hope you all enjoy, I’ll have another one out shortly…..

“the color of numbers”

hey everyone;

I have always been attracted to numbers.. I work with them everyday, and have tried to incorporate their power into some of my creations over the years….    I’ve done some research recently and found out that there has been a few theorems and formulas to link colors to numbers…. I have always been fascinated by the artful complexity and the relationship between both …. Of all the of the color numbers here is what I found out;

1.  white is the rarest color number

2.   66 is the first white number

3.   2001 and 2002 are rare consecutive white numbers

4.  the first color number is black

5.  1 is the first black number

6.   84 and 85 are the first black numbers to run in succession

This was the theme of my most recent paintings…. they are 40 x 30, oil, they are titled, “white numbers”,  and , “black numbers“… hope you all enjoy,  I’ll have another one out shortly…. peace

hey everyone;

hope all is well… been crazy busy lately…. struggling to find time in the studio, but managing to find a way…. really enjoyed seeing my son graduate from high school… its like the ending of one life and the starting of another… all of it amazing to me….looking forward to the next couple of months in the studio..

..here is my latest… it is 30 x 40 oil…. it it titled “abstract 82”..

“heart filled”

Hey everyone.. hope all is well… what an incredibly busy start to the new year… still trying to find time to catch my breath….. I managed to get back into the studio finally, ….and i am excited about some of our new work…. Here is one of my most recent creations, ….it is called “heart filled” ……it is  30 x 40 oil, permanent marker…. hope you all enjoy… I’ll have another one out shortly..

“shameless”

Hey everyone;

Corporate fraud,  investor deception, government bailout has been the focus of our headlines for the past several years and continues to dominate the headlines….  700 Billion in TARP bailout money,  183 Billion for the AIG bailout,  yet there were 1,200,000,000 in planned bonuses for executives, Goldman Sach’s tax rate in 2007 was 34%, in 2008 1% after the bailout, CEO salary ratio to average employee, 1961 -23:1, 2010- 319:1, thank you Bear Stearns, World Com, Goldman Sach’s, AIG, …..and of course Bernie Madof …. here is my latest painting… it is 40 x 28, oil… it is called “shameless”… hope you all enjoy… i’ll have another one out shortly…
